Title: Embrace What Brings You Joy This Holiday Season

“I get so much joy when I can help you find that perfect gift, host the best gathering, and create the most fun. The joy also comes from doing my very best—there are so many products to choose from, so we take it seriously to vet those that will suit you and fill your needs best. We have an advantage as we align on so many levels with our customers, and for that, I’m so very grateful.” — Susie

With the holidays approaching, it’s easy to feel caught up in the rush. But here’s a little reminder: doing more of what brings you joy is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity for a balanced, happy life. Whether it’s preparing for holiday gatherings, exercising to boost your health, or shopping at places like bbQ & More where every item has been thoughtfully curated, those moments of joy are what fill our days with meaning.

Do What Makes You Happy: A Healthier You Awaits

For many of us, holiday prep is about so much more than the tasks themselves; it’s about the warmth of gathering, the shared laughter, and the joy of connecting. And if shopping for those perfect pieces at bbQ & More lifts your spirits, you’re in the right place. You’re invited to join us for our Mackenzie Childs event on November 21—not only to shop but also to connect, to fellowship, and to be part of a joyful holiday community. This is the season to celebrate, and we’re here to make it meaningful and fun.

We will will be serving breakfast 🍳☕️!

3 Scientific Reasons Why Doing What You Love is Good for You

1. Boosts Mood and Reduces Stress

Research shows that engaging in enjoyable activities can significantly reduce stress. When you focus on what makes you happy, your brain releases endorphins, the “feel-good” hormones that help you feel relaxed and more connected to others. Even the act of holiday shopping or creating a beautiful tablescape can shift your mood in a positive way.

2. Improves Overall Health

Studies suggest that people who regularly do activities they enjoy, like exercising, cooking, or shopping at a favorite store, tend to have lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of cardiovascular issues. Taking time to enjoy these activities benefits both your mental and physical well-being.

3. Strengthens Social Connections

Engaging in shared experiences, such as shopping or gathering for an event, enhances social bonds. Social connections are proven to improve happiness and longevity. At our Mackenzie Childs event, you’re invited to come not just for the shopping, but for the fellowship. Meeting people who share your enthusiasm for creating beautiful spaces and celebrating the season can make your holiday preparations even more fulfilling.

So this season, give yourself permission to do more of what brings you joy. Whether that’s preparing for family gatherings, keeping up with your fitness goals, or treating yourself to something special from bbQ & More, these small moments create lasting happiness and well-being. We can’t wait to see you at our Mackenzie Childs event on November 21—come for the shopping, stay for the fellowship, and let us help make your holidays magical.

Finding Joy in What We Collect and Learning to Let Go

We all collect things. Some are tangible – like my beloved Nora Fleming minis – while others are the emotional baggage we carry with us through life. But here’s the thing: not all the things we collect are meant to stay.

When I look at my Nora collection, each mini brings back a happy memory. I swap them out on my favorite pieces, like my paper towel holder or salt and pepper shakers, to keep my space fresh and joyful. Every mini holds a little piece of happiness, and by surrounding myself with them, I create a home that inspires and uplifts me.

But my Nora collection isn’t just about decorating my home. It also brings me confidence, gratitude, and appreciation because it’s a significant part of my business success. Seeing how much our customers love these minis reminds me of the positive impact we’re having. It’s a beautiful blend of personal joy and professional fulfillment. I’m grateful for how these little pieces have not only brought happiness into my own home but have also contributed to the growth of **bbQ & More**.

That said, not everything we hold onto brings us joy. Sometimes, we cling to things that weigh us down – regrets, guilt, or even possessions that no longer serve us. This is where the real work comes in: letting go.

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting; it means making space for what truly matters. It means releasing the past so we can fully embrace the present and the future.

As you start your weekend, I encourage you to think about what you’re holding onto – both physically and emotionally. Ask yourself, “Does this inspire me? Does this serve me?” If the answer is no, maybe it’s time to let go.

And when you make space in your life, you’ll find there’s more room for the things and people who bring you joy. Whether it’s your Nora minis, family, or a cherished memory, hold onto what inspires you. Everything else? Let it go. 🌟

You are not your past, and you don’t have to carry the weight of things that no longer serve you. Embrace what lights you up and supports the best version of yourself.

Sending you all the love and light as we head into the weekend!

This is what I read this week that moved me.

Is it time now to let go of the heaviness you have placed on yourself through blaming or shaming yourself regarding your past?

You are not your past. You are not that version of yourself now. And back then, you acted the way you did… said things you may have regretted, or had thoughts that were very judgemental… because you were living life in the only way you knew how for who you knew yourself to be at that time.

Don’t beat yourself up over a lifetime for your past. It’s done, forgive yourself and move on.

Be the best version of yourself NOW.

And, if you are wondering how to know THIS CURRENT amazing version, just go into your heart, there is a beautiful deeply loving, authentically true version of you waiting to be discovered.

~ Janine Savient 💛

It’s easy to look back and question decisions you have made in the past, but it’s unfair to punish yourself for them.

You can’t blame yourself for not knowing back then what you know now, and the truth is you made each decision for a reason based on how you were feeling at the time.

As we grow, we learn and we evolve.

Maybe the person you are now would have done things differently back then, or maybe you are the person you are now because of the decisions you made back then ..

Tailgating Essentials and Sunday Supper Delights

Hey everyone! College football season and Football Sunday’s are in full swing! Today I want to highlight some of my favorite entertaining pieces from bbQ&More.

With the official start of Fall yesterday, I am so excited to shift my focus to Tailgating, Sunday supers, and simply creating beautiful tablescapes. My favorite thing I love to incorporate in tablescapes is various heights, colors, and sizes of serving dishes. I love to use different collections together like Pampa Bay, Mackenzie Childs, French Bull, Enamelware, and Nora Fleming to create a diverse and beautiful set up. I always love to have fresh cut veggies on my tables because they add color, and they are healthy! I always pre cut my vegetables and store them in a FancyPanz with a wet paper towel to keep everything crunchy. FancyPanz seal up tight, and if you are in charge of bringing something for a potluck, you have everything ready in one place! Especially if you are going to a tailgate in the heat! It may be the end of September, but it is still crazy hot. The Premium FancyPanz feature a hot/cold gel pack to keep everything at the perfect temperature. They also come with their own serving spoon, so you won’t have to worry about bringing an extra utensil for your dish!!

My favorite dish to bring to a tailgate is a dip! This Goat Cheese and Pepper Jelly dip is always a huge hit! It’s super easy and delicious. Check out the recipe below:

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400F degrees.

  • Combine cream cheese, bacon and goat cheese in a bowl and whip with a hand mixer until combined.

  • Add mixture to a baking dish (I’m using a 6x6 square) and place in the oven for 20 minutes.

  • Once hot and bubbly, remove from the oven and pour pepper jelly on top. Smear it edge to edge to cover the whole thing then serve.

Serve with crackers, pita thins or just take a spoon and take a big bite!

Comment and let me know if you have made this recipe before! If you haven’t, give it a try and bring it to your next gathering! Everyone will be sure to love it!

Being a Business Owner

Did you guys know that I ran BBQ on the River for 25years! I learned a lot about time management through this time, and I know it has helped me be a better business owner.

My favorite thing I started doing after learning so much from BBQ on the river is entertaining my amazing customers through fun events. My favorite event we have had was in July! The Mackenzie Childs Barn Party was so much fun to plan, and I had an even better time getting to chat with you all about everything MC. Not only do I love to focus on the big, focal entertainment pieces, but I also value the small things too. Being a perfectionist, it can be very time consuming and overwhelming, but I have also learned through the years how to plan things out and ask for help when I need to.

I have everything planned out on a time line, and I owe my success to those plans. I seriously plan out everything! From my events here at BAM, to fun little dinner parties at my house, I plan everything out on a timeline. This ensures I will get everything done in a timely manner.

The timeline function enables you to track events of your project from start to finish ensuring clear visibility of all work taking place.

Creating your own timeline can be as simple as setting a timer for 20 minutes while you tidy up. Once the timer goes off, go to your next task, I’m sure your space is tidy enough 😂!

It’s really simple, utilize these 5 tips, and you're on your way to fewer distractions and more productivity at work & home!

• Set reminders for all your tasks.

• Create a daily planner.

• Give each task a time limit.

• Block out distractions.

• Establish a routine.

Let me know if you try the Timeline trick with something in your life in the comments below. I always look forward to hearing from you all!

Now, mark your calendar to attend our event SANTA IN September!!! Starting on Saturday, September 14th from 10-5, we will have Santa here at bbQ&More! We also have double the fun this year because Santa will be here on Sunday, the 15th as well from 12-4. We will have so many yummy treats for you all to try and fun things planned for the whole weekend! I really hope to see you there! It will truly be a blast!

My favorite thing to add ambiance and joy to a room is the LED Bottle Lamp Shades. I love how you are able to repurpose an empty bottle with these lamp shades! It is truly a great way to display those gorgeous bourbon bottles. Not only are these lamp shades gorgeous, but they are also functional! They put off a lot of light!! I love to add lots of lamps and string lights all around my house to improve the ambiance throughout. I find joy in the small details!! You can charge them with the same cord that you charge your phone with and they last for up to 6 hours. I love to place one of these in the middle of my tablescape to add extra light, and delight, to my tables. You are sure to get so many compliments from your guests with this lamp shade!!

All About Hosting

Happy Thursday, everyone! Today I want to share with you all some of my best hosting tips to make hosting a gathering less stressful!

Tip number 1: Walk through the tablescape just as your guests will to see how they will pick up the main entree and snacks. Make sure the flow is good for them to fully enjoy everything the way you intended.

Tip 2: Use Sticky Notes on your platters to plan out which dish is going in which vessel. This will make sure you have all the dishes you need.

Tip 3: If you are hosting a potluck, place Sticky Notes on the tablescape for the location of each dish. This way, everyone will know where to put their dish once they arrive, and it keeps everything organized.

The best part about hosting is simply celebrating one another. My most recent gathering was centered around Back To School and celebrating some amazing teachers. Check out these fabulous pictures I took!!

To take some yummy snacks out to my back patio, I used a Nora Fleming Maple Tray, two Pampa Bay dishes, and the ever-so-gorgeous Mackenzie Childs Compote Dish. The Nora Fleming tray makes it easy to carry everything from inside to outside, plus it looks fabulous!

Inside, I laid down some parchment paper on my kitchen island to make a chip and dip bar. I am IN LOVE with how this turned out! All of my guests loved it! After I laid down my paper, I dumped a variety of chips on the counter and labeled them with a pen so everyone would know which kind of chips were available. I used a collection of Nora Fleming, Mackenzie Childs, Pampa Bay, and Enamelware dishes to hold the different dips, sauces, and other toppings. It was a wonderful gathering with even better company!

https://www.bbqandmore.biz/recipes/sddzgir7s9qh3wr7j7julslks1qn1j

Check out this recipe above for an Artichoke Cheese Bake! I brought this with me outside on my back patio, and everyone loved it!

Let me know in the comments below if you try out any of these tips! I love hearing feedback from you all!

Friday- Finish the week even stronger with Jamaican Jerk Tacos

Click here to shop EVERYTHING you need from bbQ&More to make these meals!!!

Here are five tips and tricks to help you embrace the hustle and bustle of fall with grace and positivity.

1. Plan Ahead and Stay Organized

Staying organized can make a world of difference when life gets busy. Use a planner to map out your week, including appointments, tasks, and events. Also, consider meal planning to save time and reduce stress during those hectic weeknights. Our selection of gourmet foods and easy-to-use kitchen gadgets can help you whip up delicious meals in no time.

2. Own Your Mess Ups

Life doesn’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay. When you make a mistake or something doesn’t work out, acknowledge it, learn from it, and move on. Remember, nobody is perfect, and every misstep is an opportunity for growth. At bbQ & More, we believe in learning from our experiences and continuously improving. So, if that new recipe didn’t turn out as expected, laugh it off and try again. We've got your back with all the kitchen essentials you need for a redo!

3. Find Humor Along the Way

Laughter is the best medicine, especially during busy times. Finding humor in everyday situations can lighten the mood and reduce stress. Whether it’s a funny moment with family or a silly mishap, take time to enjoy the lighter side of life. Share a joke or a funny story with friends and family over dinner served on our Nora Fleming collection. It’s a great way to make memories and keep the atmosphere joyful.

4. Practice Positive Self-Talk

Your mindset plays a crucial role in how you handle stress and challenges. Practice positive self-talk to boost your confidence and resilience. Replace negative thoughts with affirmations like, “I am capable,” “I can handle this,” and “I am doing my best.” Surround yourself with positivity by using our Nora Fleming memo board and scallop mini from bbQ & More to write down daily affirmations and keep them in sight.

5. Take Time for Self-Care

Amidst the busyness, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Self-care isn’t just a luxury; it’s essential for maintaining your well-being. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of tea using a Mackenzie-Childs tea kettle, taking a relaxing bath, or simply reading a book, make sure to carve out some “me time.” Our selection of gourmet coffees and cozy snoozie socks at bbQ & More can help you create a fun and easy self-care routine.

Embracing the busy fall season is all about finding balance and staying positive. By incorporating these tips and tricks into your routine, you’ll be well-equipped to handle whatever comes your way with grace and a smile.

Susie's Tips for Stress Management

Hello, friends! It's Susie here, and today I want to talk about something we all experience but often struggle to manage—stress. Whether you're juggling a busy schedule, facing unexpected challenges, or just dealing with everyday pressures, stress can take a toll on your well-being.

Summer is quickly coming to an end, and the thought of a new school year coming up may be stressful for some. My daughter, Lilly, is fixing to take the Bar exam, and she has been studying so hard, but she is stressed about the test. Her being stressed causes me to feel stressed because I know how hard she has been working and I know she wants all this hard work to pay off!! Whatever your stressor may be right now, I invite you to read this article about stress management! Life is unpredictable and can throw many curve balls at you, but with the proper tools to handle stress, you can handle anything that comes your way.

When I am feeling stressed, I love to use the Hot Stuff Neck Wrap to help me relax. I love how it scented with lemon and lavender essential oils- the aromatherapy also helps me to relax. This article from the Mayo Clinic is one of my favorites to refer to when I am feeling stressed. Let me share the key points with you.

First, you have to understand positive thinking and positive self-talk. Becoming familiar with these terms will help you utilize them during stressful situations. There are so many health benefits that come with positive self-talk. Some notable ones are lower levels of pain, better coping skills during stressful moments, and better cardiovascular health.

Next, you need to identify negative thinking. If you are unsure whether or not your self-talk is positive, you can learn some identifying factors of negative thinking to filter them out of your mind.

After identifying and filtering out negative thinking, you should focus on positive thinking. The process is simply, but it takes time and practice. You are creating a new habit!

There is a wonderful chart about putting positive thinking into action that you can see on the article.

Even though summer time is coming to a close, there is still plenty of time to get out and have fun! I encourage you to soak up every moment because it will go by in the blink of an eye! Devote time to yourself to practice positive thinking and positive self-talk in these busy times.

Read the article here

I also want to share some of my tried and true tips and tricks that I have learned along the way to help you manage stress effectively and find your inner peace!

1. Prioritize Self-Care

Self-care is not a luxury; it's a necessity. Make time for activities that rejuvenate your mind and body. Whether it's a relaxing bath, a good book, or a leisurely walk, dedicating time to self-care can significantly reduce stress levels.

2. Stay Active

Exercise is a fantastic stress reliever. It boosts your mood, increases energy levels, and helps clear your mind. You don't need an intense workout; even a short daily walk can make a big difference.

I have a scheduled work out 2 times a week, walk 4 times a week, weather permitting, and or I set my timer for 20 minutes and stretch.

3. Practice Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness and meditation are powerful tools for stress management. They help you stay present and focused, reducing anxiety about the past or future. Try setting aside a few minutes each day for mindful breathing or guided meditation.

I started a 5 minute daily meditation or just quit time in 2016. It has served me well, it’s ok to miss a few days even a few months, just remember to jump back in when you start feeling rushy.

4. Stay Organized

Clutter and disorganization can contribute to stress. Keep your living and working spaces tidy, and create a to-do list to manage your tasks efficiently. Organization brings a sense of control and calm.

5. Connect with Loved Ones

Talking to friends and family can provide comfort and perspective. Don't hesitate to reach out to your support network when you're feeling overwhelmed. Sharing your feelings can lighten the emotional load.

I like to host some sort of gathering when I feel I need to connect, it does not to be fancy, it gets my mind of my troubles.

6. Set Realistic Goals

Setting unrealistic goals can increase stress and lead to disappointment. Break down your tasks into manageable steps, and celebrate small achievements along the way. Remember, progress is more important than perfection.

7. Practice Gratitude

Focusing on the positives in your life can shift your mindset and reduce stress. Keep a gratitude journal and write down things you're thankful for each day. This simple practice can boost your mood and overall outlook.

I give thanks as soon as my eyes open. Then as I put my right foot on the floor I say THANK and YOU as I put my left foot on the floor…even when I’m struggling.

8. Limit Caffeine and Sugar

While a cup of coffee or a sweet treat can provide a temporary boost, excessive caffeine and sugar can increase anxiety and stress. Opt for balanced meals and snacks that provide sustained energy without the crash.

I love decaffeinated green tea and sip on that often, it’s soothing plus drinking it out of my feeling fancy tea cup makes me feel snazzy.

9. Learn to Say No

Overcommitting yourself can lead to burnout. It's okay to say no to additional responsibilities or social engagements when you're feeling overwhelmed. Prioritize your well-being and set boundaries.

10. Seek Professional Help if Needed

If stress becomes unmanageable or starts to affect your daily life, don't hesitate to seek professional help. Therapists and counselors can provide valuable support and coping strategies.

I love my therapist, for me she is more like a life coach.

Remember, managing stress is a journey, not a destination. Be kind to yourself and recognize that it's okay to seek help and take breaks when needed. By incorporating these tips and tricks into your routine, you'll be better equipped to handle life's challenges with grace and resilience.

Feel free to share your favorite stress management techniques in the comments below. Let's support each other on this journey to a calmer, more balanced life!

One of my favorite ways to ground myself after a stressful day is spending time in my garden! I have grown the most beautiful flowers and veggies. It is so rewarding being able to eat things you grew yourself! Nature is so truly so beautiful!!

Stay calm and carry on,

Susie

Moments of Gratitude

Hello, dear readers! It’s Susie here from Susie in the Black. Today, I want to share some heartfelt ways to embrace gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful practice that can bring more joy, positivity, and resilience into our lives.

I know it is crazy to think about, but… summer is almost over! I feel like school just ended yesterday, and we are already preparing for the next year!! 📚Summer may be leaving us, but the memories will last forever. I encourage you all to soak up every moment from now until school starts- it will all be over in the blink of an eye!🩷🩵

I would like to highlight one special word in this blog post and that is gratitude. Recently, my mother had her 90th birthday and it was a gentle reminder to myself to stay grateful for everything I have and every moment I get to spend with friends and family. ✨Taking a moment to reflect upon the amazing things life has given you helps to ground yourself and flush out any negative thoughts. Some of you may have seen this adorable video I posted on our Instagram and Facebook, but I just have to share it again! You can just see the pure joy on our faces while we celebrate a spectacular milestone for my mom- 90! 🪩💖🎉

Whether you’re a busy parent, a dedicated professional, or someone who just loves a good BBQ, these tips will help you cultivate gratitude in your everyday moments. Let's dive in!

1. Start a Gratitude Journal

Keeping a gratitude journal is a wonderful way to focus on the positives in your life. Every evening, write down three things you’re thankful for. It could be anything from a delicious meal to a kind gesture from a friend.

2. Express Appreciation

Make it a habit to express your gratitude to others. Whether it’s a heartfelt thank you note, a quick text, or a verbal acknowledgment, letting people know you appreciate them strengthens relationships and spreads positivity. Of course we think a fabulous gift bundle from BAM is the best way to express appreciation, 😉😂🤗.

3. Create Gratitude Rituals

Incorporate gratitude into your daily routine with small rituals. For instance, take a moment before meals to appreciate the food you’re about to eat. Our Nora Fleming serveware at bbQ & More can turn any meal into a special occasion, making it easier to pause and give thanks.

4. Celebrate the Small Wins

Don’t wait for major achievements to celebrate. Recognize and appreciate the small victories and moments of joy in your day. For example, did you finally perfect that new recipe you found on our website? Celebrate with a delicious meal using our gourmet ingredients and serveware.

5. Focus on the Positive

Train your brain to look for the positive aspects of situations, even in challenging times. Instead of dwelling on what went wrong, try to find at least one thing that went right or one lesson learned. You can use our Nora Fleming memo board and scallop mini from bbQ & More to write down your daily inspirations and positive thoughts.

6. Volunteer and Give Back

Helping others is a powerful way to cultivate gratitude. Volunteering your time or resources to those in need can remind you of your own blessings and increase your appreciation for what you have. Consider joining us at bbQ & More for our community events and charity drives—we love giving back together!

7. Reflect on Challenges

Reflecting on past challenges and how you overcame them can foster gratitude for your growth and resilience. Recognize the strength you’ve gained and the lessons you’ve learned, and be grateful for your journey. Our inspirational blog posts on Susie in the Black are full of stories and tips that can help you see the silver linings in your own life.

Embracing gratitude is a practice that can transform your life, bringing more joy, contentment, and connection. By incorporating these tips and tricks into your daily routine, you’ll find that gratitude becomes a natural and enriching part of your life.

Some of you may have seen this adorable video I posted on our Instagram and Facebook, but I just have to share it again! You can just see the pure joy on our faces while we celebrate a spectacular milestone for my mom- 90! 🪩💖🎉

I also adore how this video shows some of my products that I carry at BAM! Her gorgeous cake is served on the Nora Fleming NEW Melamine Round Serving Platter with the NEW Tall Melamine Riser. It is a wonderful way to add height to a tablescape, and in this circumstance, it worked beautifully to give my mom her birthday cake! 🎂 The beauty of Nora Fleming is how you just need one serving platter for every occasion. If you are unfamiliar with Nora, you just pick one of your favorite serving pieces and you can buy additional “Mini’s” to decorate the platters for every holiday, season, and every other occasion. I used a gorgeous pink butterfly 🦋 for my mom’s cake stand, and I will use an adorable Santa Hat🎅🏼to dress this platter up for Christmas time. Shop all of our Nora Fleming Here!

I am also SO grateful for all of YOU!🩷 I truly have the best customers, and I say that every single day. You guys keep me busy- and I love it! I enjoy coming to the store and meeting with all of you. I get to make everyone’s life a little bit easier with a fabulous gift, and I am so, very grateful for each and every one of you. THANK YOU!! 💖🙌🏻🥰

How do you practice gratitude in your daily life? Share your tips and experiences in the comments below. Let’s inspire each other to live more grateful lives!

The Crowd Pleasing Ham Delight!

The 4th of July is almost here! Whether you are hosting a gathering or not, I want to make sure you are prepared for this holiday so you can have the most fun.

My hosting tip today is to lay out your tablescape as far in advance as you can. This way you know exactly what you need to prepare and how much to make!

I shared this quote in my blog post about Calico Beans, but it really sums everything up into one powerful message, so I just have to share it again!

“I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always exhausted. I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always stressed, always busy, always rushing, always holding herself together and pushing through.

I would like to be remembered as a relaxed woman, a compassionate woman, a curious, joyful, pleasure-loving woman. A woman who works hard and rests deeply, who loves fiercely and lives peacefully.

A woman who knows her worth and her power, who accepts her imperfections and her vulnerabilities, who embraces her limitations and her possibilities.

A woman who laughs and cries and aches and loves and is enchanted by the mess and magic and mundaneness of this beautiful, shimmering life.”

- Nicola Jane Hobbs

Check out this delicious Ham Delight dish! If you are in charge of bringing a dish to a gathering- this is one that you can make in a foil pan and easily transport in a Fancy Panz!

Ingredients:

• 1 (12-oz) pkg Hawaiian Rolls

• 3-4 table spoons of your favorite SH&@ Rub or combo, which is what I use, Good & Awe

• 1/2 bottle of J-Mack BBQ Sauce

• at least 12 slices of your favorite ham…I like honey ham

• at least 12 slices of cheese, either Swiss, provolone or a combo of the two, which is what I do

• PLEASE, do not judge… 1/2 to 3/4 stick of butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 13- x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray;

2. Using a long serrated knife, split the entire loaf of rolls horizontally (do not separate individual rolls from each other). Place the bottom part of the loaf in your BAM PAN.

3. On the bottom part of the loaf drizzled J- Mack BBQ SAUCE about 3 -4 table spoons then sprinkle your favorite SH&@ Rub over the sauce @ 1 & 1/2 table spoons.

4. Add a layer of ham & cheese then repeat with J-MACK SAUCE & RUB. At this point you can add another layer or you can add the top loaf for your final steps.

5. Replace top rolls.

6. Melt the butter and add a little more SH&@ seasoning then pour melted butter over your sliders.

7. Cover your baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven 12-15 minutes. Remove foil; continue baking until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Serve immediately.

I found this quote from Nicola Jane Hobbs the other day while I was reading one morning, and it really stuck with me, so I want to share it with you all:

“I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always exhausted. I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always stressed, always busy, always rushing, always holding herself together and pushing through.

I would like to be remembered as a relaxed woman, a compassionate woman, a curious, joyful, pleasure-loving woman. A woman who works hard and rests deeply, who loves fiercely and lives peacefully.

A woman who laughs and cries and aches and loves and is enchanted by the mess and magic and mundaneness of this beautiful, shimmering life.”

2. Select a tray like our Enamel Ware Tray, Nora Fleming platter, French Bull platter or Not Your Paper Plate Platter. This will be the base for arranging your hot dog board.

3. Start by arranging an assortment of potato chips around the edges of the tray. You can overlap them to add some pizzazz. ✨

4. Position the cooked hot dogs in the center of the tray. You can align them neatly or create a slightly diagonal arrangement.

Blueberry Picking and Grandma Rose's Blueberry Bread

Another treasured memory from the Fourth of July is picking blueberries 🫐 with my family. My grandmother Rose would use those fresh berries to bake her famous blueberry bread. The aroma that filled the kitchen and the taste of that warm, sweet bread is something I'll never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Make this Fruit & Cookie Flag Pie that will blow your guests away! 🇺🇸🥧🍪

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Mix up your Cookies in a Bag with one stick of butter and one egg and refrigerate for one hour.

  • While your dough is in the fridge, wash, dry, and cut your strawberries into thin slices. Wash and dry your blueberries, as well! Store your fruit in a Berry Box to keep it fresh.

  • To make the topping, mix up one packet of Dip Shit for Fruit with 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Place back in the fridge until ready to use.

  • Lightly grease a Casaware Jelly Roll Pan and spread out the chilled cookie dough to fill the pan.

  • Bake cookie crust 9-12 minutes until lightly browned. Let it cool completely before adding toppings.

  • Scoop the Dip Shit and cream cheese mixture on top of the cookie and spread it all the way to the edges.

  • Use blueberries to create the blue portion of the flag and the sliced strawberries to create seven red stripes. Make sure to leave space between each stripe to add the white stripes!

  • Scoop whipped topping into a piping bag with a star tip (or substitute it for a can of Reddi Whip topping) to pipe the white stripes in between the red.

  • Keep in fridge until ready to serve.
