All About Hosting

Happy Thursday, everyone! Today I want to share with you all some of my best hosting tips to make hosting a gathering less stressful!

Tip number 1: Walk through the tablescape just as your guests will to see how they will pick up the main entree and snacks. Make sure the flow is good for them to fully enjoy everything the way you intended.

Tip 2: Use Sticky Notes on your platters to plan out which dish is going in which vessel. This will make sure you have all the dishes you need.

Tip 3: If you are hosting a potluck, place Sticky Notes on the tablescape for the location of each dish. This way, everyone will know where to put their dish once they arrive, and it keeps everything organized.

The best part about hosting is simply celebrating one another. My most recent gathering was centered around Back To School and celebrating some amazing teachers. Check out these fabulous pictures I took!!

To take some yummy snacks out to my back patio, I used a Nora Fleming Maple Tray, two Pampa Bay dishes, and the ever-so-gorgeous Mackenzie Childs Compote Dish. The Nora Fleming tray makes it easy to carry everything from inside to outside, plus it looks fabulous!

Inside, I laid down some parchment paper on my kitchen island to make a chip and dip bar. I am IN LOVE with how this turned out! All of my guests loved it! After I laid down my paper, I dumped a variety of chips on the counter and labeled them with a pen so everyone would know which kind of chips were available. I used a collection of Nora Fleming, Mackenzie Childs, Pampa Bay, and Enamelware dishes to hold the different dips, sauces, and other toppings. It was a wonderful gathering with even better company!

Check out this recipe above for an Artichoke Cheese Bake! I brought this with me outside on my back patio, and everyone loved it!

Let me know in the comments below if you try out any of these tips! I love hearing feedback from you all!
